This Automated Seam Welding System is an automatic double-gun girth welder, also a dedicated Seam Welding Machine tailored for compress cylinders fitted with left and right end covers. It adopts the working mode of rotating workpieces with fixed welding guns, supporting simultaneous welding by two guns or single-gun welding independently. Equipped with custom tooling fixtures for workpiece clamping, this Automatic Welding Machine can accommodate various workpieces by adjusting the fixtures and the center position of support holders. Applicable tank specifications: Diameter φ300-500mm, length 400-1000mm, wall thickness 2-4mm.

Workpiece status before welding: The cylinder (tank) is pre-assembled by pressing with two end covers, with cylinder roundness ≤±1mm and assembly misalignment ≤1mm.
The overall machine structure is shown in the attached drawing. The main body guide rail is fitted with a rotary head unit, roller support brackets and pneumatic tailstock; the roller brackets and pneumatic tailstock can be displaced flexibly on demand. Welding gun moving carriages are mounted on the guide rail and support manual movement. Each carriage is equipped with gun lifting units, rotating units and 3D adjusting units, enabling wide-range position adjustment and fine tuning for welding guns.
Features:
The rotary head is driven by a gear motor for stable operation. Its rotating speed is digitally displayed and infinitely adjustable, and the rotating angle can be preset to adapt to different weld joint gaps.
The custom-designed fixtures feature simple and rapid adjustment, enabling the equipment to process diverse workpieces efficiently.
Floating roller brackets allow manual centering adjustment.
Welding gun lifting units adopt pneumatic drive and linear guide positioning to guarantee high operating precision.
The 3D adjusting units for welding guns are applied for precise fine-tuning and accurate positioning.
Electrical controller system
Adopts PLC control system. It supports digital display of welding linear speed and presetting for lap seam welding parameters.
The equipment integrates manual debugging and automatic welding modes. The manual mode allows adjustment of the rotary head speed, as well as position tuning for gun carriages, lifting mechanisms and welding guns.
